The Scholars Program at the University of Gondar has been accepting students from all across the nation and the world for the past five years. This exceptional Scholarship Package is available to students from Ethiopia and other East African countries. The Scholars are inspired and guided to become the finest versions of themselves in order to achieve all of the program’s objectives. In light of this, the University of Gondar’s Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program has developed a strategy to develop all of its Scholars into Africa’s future generation of transformative leaders.
In order to do this, on July 10, 2022, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars and the MCF Scholars Program office at the University of Gondar organized a day of community service. The Scholars donated much goods to “Kalen Binakafil Aregawayan Merja Dirijit,” an organization that helps the elderly, as part of their efforts to give back. Giving back can be viewed as a launching pad for other community projects and socially conscious work.
At the association’s grounds in the center of Gondar, the Give Back was successful. All of the Scholars donated their own money and resources to buy various products for the elderly who were in need, which will greatly enhance their personal circumstances. The program served as a testament to everyone’s generosity and dedication, and everyone who helped make the event a success were selfless in a way that demonstrates the Scholars’ commitment to aiding those who are most in need.
