The Threshold Association Finland visits the University of Gondar and the Scholars Program

On 8 November 2019 in Maraki Campus’s Aluminum Hall a Finland based organization had the opportunity to visit the University of Gondar and its Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Scholars.
The Threshold Association which was founded in Finland is a cross-disability organization, that focuses on the essential and fundamental rights and needs of people with disabilities. The association was founded by students with disabilities in 1973.
 
During their visit, the group of 20 volunteers including the team leader Veera Pennsala discussed with the scholars a number of topics that circled around their campus experience.
 
The Threshold Association has made it one of its goals to elevate and pinpoint persons with different types of disabilities and encourage them to run the organization from decision-making to various activities.
 
Their work could be seen stretching many continents as well. The association has active projects in Ethiopia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Central Asia, and Kosovo.
